As your birth doula, I will provide for you and your partner:
- A free, no obligation consultation to determine if we are a good fit for each other
- Informational, emotional, and physical support during pregnancy, labor and birth, and postpartum
- 2 prenatal visits to help you discover your rights and choices in birth, educate you on common interventions and how to avoid them, teach you comfort and relaxation techniques, learn your wishes and hopes for birth, help you release fears, and much more
- Unlimited phone/email support for questions or concerns, and 24/7 on-call support 3 weeks before your due date
- Assistance with preparing your birth plan
- Labor support for your entire labor using non-pharmacological pain relief techniques including:
- massage
- acupressure
- aromatherapy
- music
- relaxation
- visualization
- position suggestions
- encouragement
- support with hospital staff/explanation of procedures
- practical support for your partner
- hypnosis (if desired)
- Assistance with facilitation of communication with hospital staff
- Immediate postpartum support after birth for 1-2 hours to assist with initial breastfeeding at your birth place
- 1 postpartum visit (more can be arranged) to help with light housework, assistance with breastfeeding, discuss your feelings about your birth, and admire your new baby!
I have experience with Hypnosis for childbirth, accupressure, VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean), teenagers, cesarean birth, military families, and surrogate mothers. Additionally, I have knowledge of home birth and mothers who are planning on adoption. I will serve you in the hospital, in a birth center, or at home with a midwife.
